Can you ID this tool?
 

Customer showing this to me this morning. I have no idea what it is.

The holes are smooth and there are no markings on it anywhere.

Any ideas?

That's part of a tap and die set, isn't it?

Nope. Has no clamp,fastener,or threading.

It's a Japanese condom installation tool.

Certainly not a great tool.

It's not split - how would you remove the tube with 2 flared ends?

I sent the pics to my older brother in VA who is a machinist and fabricator and he didn't have a guess....especially with no markings on it nor any fasteners or threads.

I don't feel so bad - I thought I should have known what it was....weird....

Looks like an old school heavy gauge cable twister. Probably left behind by the power company.

Dowel die for drawing round wood dowels out of square stock?

I never said it was a GOOD flaring tool ..... :rolleyes:

The sizing and order of the holes is odd. Maybe there's a part missing?

Are the holes drill bit sized? Letter or number?

When held high at the noon sun it will divulge the location of buried treasure.

I'm pretty sure it's a one size fits all nipple twister.
