Wish I had enough $ to buy one and stick it in a garage for 40 years.
I love Caymans. I only stick with my 997 because I can cram a ton of paper products in the back seat when I go to Costco

I think it's awesome, and can't wait to see the start dominating the track.

It looks like it could be a great race car platform. I hope so.

If I had the cash to buy a new Porsche, it's the one I'd buy.

I'd take a new caymen before a 911. If I could buy a GT4, all the better.

I like it. I sometimes think about a dollar comparo. 996-based GT3 versus a car like this. How do they stack up on the street and at the track?
Only thing that bothers me about all of these new cars is the weight. Older GT3s up to this car are all pretty much over 3000 lbs. I'd like to see a 2500 lb car.

Anybody want to buy a slightly used 2014 Cayman S in July
![]() Unfortunately I'll have to live with my car for a while longer but I'll definitely start working the spreadsheet to see when I can afford to upgrade. You can go on Porsche's website and configure a GT4 now. I configured my GT4 dream car at $95K, about $20K more than mine so a bit out of my budget.

Prrrrrreeeeeettycool!!!
I have an 07 S and I'm delighted with it... it accelerates, turns, stops, handles and looks fantastic, it really does everything very well. Now the GT4 with added HPs = better. Amazing how cars from the same brand - and basically configuration - can differ so much... I'm talking 911 vs Cayman. |

You'd be better off driving it, having all service done by the dealer, keeping every piece of paper related to the car and being the kind of doting, thorough, caring long-term owner we read about in all those Panorama and Excellence stories about 356 and long-hood owners who finally sold after all those decades.

Want. Bad. I won't be able to afford a new one, so I'll have to wait until I win the Lottery.
Actually, it might be cheaper and easier to do A V8 swap, lower 30mm, and put on an aero kit.
