If there was any doubt I was a geek (random LED thread):

Today I mounted an LED rear light to my garden tractor. I use this tractor to haul trash cans down to the road for weekly pick up. In the winter time, it is dark, and often, if crap falls off the back, I can't even tell until later that day when I get home from work.

Let the LED GOD's shine in!!!!! No more of that problem. I am simply amazed how technology has progressed in the cheap LED department!

Leaky - I recall your "Repower" thread......Which engine did you do? How is it working out for you? Cool old tractor for sure....

Good thing about LED's on these garden tractors: Lot of light without much draw on the charging system.....Put them on my JD 318 facing the other way......

Howdy! I went with a Briggs and Stratton 23 hp in the repower. The repower has worked beyond expectations and I look for excuses to use the tractor. The light I bought is here:

Amazon.com : GLW® 10w 12v Ac or Dc Warm White Led Flood Light Waterproof Outdoor Lights 750lm 80w Halogen Bulb Equivalent Black Case : Patio, Lawn & Garden

It's not insanely powerful, but cheap, and about as powerful as the original bulb lights that came with the tractor. The low current draw is a plus. $9 bucks you can't lose.
