Health Care Co-Ops
I was talking to a guy I know about how his business is going. He is getting all sorts of work but can't hire decent help. Finding that finding people to do manual labor is really tough and to make matters worse he is really struggling with health care costs. I told him he should get in with a couple other small businesses and go straight to a few doctors directly and work a cash deal with them. He said that he was actually looking into such a thing funny I should mention it.
I don't know the details but it would seem to me that if you could work the numbers and figure out the actually incident of illness rate then it might make it worth the doctors as well as the small business owners time to do it. Ever hear of such a thing? What would it look like?

Might be fine for simple issues, but what about catastrophic medical issues, broken bones or cancer? Really can't see it working well.

Purchase catastrophic coverage (i.e, re-insure) for those risks.
