Need help finding a serial number?
So I'm going to sell my 69 911 T engine I bought several years ago to fund my dogs ACL replacement but I'm unable to go out to the garage to move it around to take pictures of the serial number.
So I have a friend come over to do this and he can't find the serial number. I've explained to him where it should be and showed him pictures of other serial number locations but they only show the serial number and not where it's located. I need help describing it's location better than I have. Pictures to show him location would be a big help.

Here's a picture which shows the location of the engine serial number (large, top arrow) and the engine type number (lower arrow.)
![]() Description: engine number is on the right side of the alternator/fan support, stamped vertically, when looking from the rear of the car. The engine type is stamped horizontally on the flat surface of the case, just to the right of the alternator support.
