Not a profession but some of them treat it as a full time job: atheists.

Wrong forum, go to Off Topic Religion and Politics.

My contribution, execs of large corporations and of course politicians, but they would never be elected if they told the truth.

I'm very tired of hearing complaints about the Off Topic forum over the past few months. Apparently, there have been some difficulties with people getting along with each other on the forum. I think the upcoming election has brought about both the best and the worst in people.

Needless to say, some changes will be made. Firstly, there is a new forum for Politics and Religion topics only. If you post in the main forum when you should be posting in the politics and religion subforums, then you will be warned and/or suspended from posting in OT for a short period of time. Other changes will be more subtle, but they will lend themselves towards a more harmonious gathering here.

Please join me in doing your part to clean up the OT forum. I will also be extremely disappointed if this post deteriorates into negativity as well.

The new forum can be found here:

You moron. Yet again slinging your monkey poop around this forum.

It was a response to the post prior to my own that deviated from the rules of this section of the forum.

My follow up post was in-line with the spirit of the thread.

:confused::confused::confused:

Go piss on someones grave like you usually do.

Not only that, you now brought your issues with me into a thread were you had absolutely no involvement. This thread would have carried on just fine.

But but but, he did it too!

Lots of 4 year olds use that level of logic.

I've had the misfortune of knowing more than 1 member of "the Fuzz" who was a card carrying obfuscator.

Cheers

Another thread reminded me to add life insurance salesmen.

Funny, that was exactly what I was going to say about the post above mine.

Opps, sorry if I've offended anyone and everyone.

I was thinking along the lines of what happens when an average person who knows almost nothing about cars and engines, takes there car to see a mechanic. Most, around here, are not honest.

Car dealers, again around here, will sell any crapped out car for as much money as possible to make as much money as possible.

I think you can find dishonesty in any profession, people can`t stop themselves for some reason.
I`m in the instant print business and it blows me away what photocopier and other equipment sales people try to tell me. The turnover is crazy in their industry so I guess they aren`t very good liars.

Oh. Last week I had my oil pan gasket changed under warranty on my BMW and the service guy told me they could do it without changing the oil, but the mechanic noticed the oil was dirty so I should pay to have the oil changed. I told him to jump in the lake and he called me back the next day to say they would change the oil under warranty. lol

No offense here. I left that life soo long ago, that I almost forgot how sleazy the biz can be. Saw it all in my young years. Out and out Fraud ..

I acquiesced to new rotors from and by the dealer. I asked to see the old. The series of questions I put forth reduced the tech to speechlessness immediately before hopefully handing my CC to a hot, age-appropriate, underpaid cashier-type administrator.

Will probably go back to the dealer.

Por_sha911 06-22-2016 01:42 PM

In the car business, the sales people say "buyers are liars". Here are some examples:
"I've never had any problems with my trade in" (and along those lines: "what, it's overheating? It never did that before")
"The dealer down the street could sell the exact same car for $5,000 less"
"My credit is perfect"
"I can't afford more than $x per month"
"That dent was there before I took the test drive" (yes it does happen)

And lastly, the winner of them all:
"I'll be back" Variations include "If you'll hold the car for me, I'll be back Saturday"
(the Be-Back Bus crashed and burned with no survivors)

Yet, we get outraged when the salesman lies to us.
