Reaction to cortisone...docs?

I have had 3 spinal epidurals and 1 cortisone injection in the knee within a 5 week period. Last Monday was the last injection and since then I have not slept. I get up every hour on the hour with urgency to urinate. During the day I am completley exhausted. I took off from work since Wed as I am useless, I nap at work.

I saw my urologist yesterday and he prescribed Flomax to help with emptying, he ruled out sugar in the urine. He was very concerned about my sugar.

I am going to my primary doc tomorrow as I really think I should have a full blood test done.

Anyone out there ever experience something like this?

I'm no doctor but experienced similar ~ 10 years ago. A feather tickle feeling in the plumbing that made me think I had to go. This continued for a week or so until my kidney stone event.

Some people (and dogs) are more sensitive to glucocorticoids than others. If my GF takes 5 mg of prednisone she can't sleep. I have taken 20-50 mg for an inflamed spinal nerve, and it just makes me thirsty. Usually the excessive urination follows the thirstiness and subsequent fluid intake.
