I know technically it's not really St. Elmo's fire but it's fun watching it none the less. That is until it finds a path to your bare skin on it's way to earth.

Interesting stuff. I saw it once around the tip of the air temperature probe on a Piper Aztec. We were flying at night in light, dry snow over Lake Erie. A blue glow. It was before we had cell phones to photograph everything.
