Why not.
This thing is free for us but not free for Wayne to provide. Gotta be paid for somehow. FWIW, I have my ad blocker disabled for Pelican.

When you aren't logged in, and just visiting as a guest, you will see non-stop adds.....not so when you log in.

This happened once to me and then it was fixed.
Most likely some server maintenance and some residual effects from that.
