Fellow Pelican Shooters - Please Support a Good Cause
Let's try not to let this get all "PARFy", m'kay?. A Chicago gun shop is raffling off a rifle, with all proceeds to go to Orlando shooting victims' families. Buy a few tickets and help these folks out:

I guess that's slightly less insensitive than raffling off a canister of Zyklon B to benefit victims of the holocaust....

Sleazy marketing ploy by the gun shop.

Yes a big Black scary gun that had nothing to do with the Florida shooting is being raffled off to raise funds. Maybe they can use the money to pay for the funeral of the man who's parents refuse to claim his body because he was gay.
I'd buy a ticket but I'm not allowed Big Black scary guns up here so I just own ones that shoot real ammo instead.

Jeff is a great guy... but I have to agree this is in bad taste...
I also disagree with raffles and "buy our product and we will donate X% to charity" BS. If you want to donate to charity eliminate the middleman "and just do it." Just my two cents

If you're a gun shop owner, what do you donate as a fund raiser? P mags are not going to bring a lot of buyers or attention. A .50 might bring more people, but then those are a lot more expensive then AR's.
Ar's are pretty much an universal currency. I recently traded one for an early 70's W200. I don't think you can say that about allot of stuff.

Our nice little town was well represented today at its Independence Day Parade. It was great, all American spirit. The OP topic was in it with his Toyota FJ. We had a nice visit.
Owner of Scot Forge, also in town brings out his collection for the parade. Classic vintage Fire apparatus, one of his 1/2 tracks and then a TANK! LEO's and crowd proud and jovial. Its so nice too without the riff-raff. Good respectful folks. Honor the flag. No police lines, tape restrictions, open alcohol is fine, bring your pets, kids and everybody well behaved. Stand up for what the country is supposed to be. The rest can stick it or go down losers.
