Funny, League City/Friendswood (practically neighbors) and now midtown/montrose (still neighbors). You're probably not more than a mile or two from me.

Yeah, we'll have to grab a drink sometime.

There are two types or corn: Sweet vs. cow/feed/field: The difference between sweet corn and field corn

Popcorn needs water inside and fluffy starches to burst, so I assume most are sweet.

In popcorn there are mushroom vs. butterfly kernels: Popcorn Buying Guide | Types of Popcorn

My favorite was the twice-popped left over from the bottom of the bag.
Steel pot, enough oil to cover bottom lightly, get sizzling hot first, add single layer of corn, cover, shake vigorously until most popped.
More chewy than fluffy but each mouthful lasts longer.

Did you know that corn is thought to be the first human developed food product?

It does not naturally grow in the wild, anywhere.

It's believed to have been cultivated from a grass, Teosinte.

It looked kinda like this 10,000 years ago.
