Sounded like the driver honked his horn first..........and then his windshield got smashed.

I have a pet peeve about people honking their horns.

There are times when a horn honk is warranted but most of the time they are just a by-product of a primitive brain.

I honked my horn, but it was at the 80-year old guy [who started] in the lane next to mine but decided it was better to straddle both lanes while doing 15 in a 45.

So, you're not thinking he was driving around in his special car so he could be noticed? Looks to me like he really got noticed.

Driver rolled the stop sign, kid was (allegedly, we can't see) crossing the street. Driver who had just rolled the stop sign honked at kid. Video.

That's right in front of the Little Man Ice Cream shop.

blew the stop sign

didn't yield to cross-walk pedi

f'em

I yell it all the time: "Steal a car you can drive."

A-hole.

His boyfriend takes off running after the kid.

oh.. so the issue is it's not a Porsche..
he didn't race thru the sign..
little above idle...
not right..but I've done it..
the kid.. a little inconvenience and he does this..
flip driver of ..or some choice words ..move on..
but I'm pretty sure he's the kind that keys cars for grins..

so I'm waiting for the next video ....
it has the kid running around the corner with his board and wham..
Cement truck..

Kid should have hopped up on the hood and sued the guy for running him over. Can't see what the kid did do. Maybe he waved the guy on then went in front of him, no way to know. One thing is for sure, they are all a-holes

Complete over-reaction from the kid. Guy in MP4 rolled the stop sign and may have bumped/scared the kid causing him to fall, can't tell from video. Judging by his ability to scram after smashing a car window, the kid was not hurt. This is the kind of kid that graduates from a skateboard altercation to gunfire in traffic because he get cut off.

I smell something fishy.... the video may have been staged. Expensive, I concur, but people have done stupider things.

1) Why didn't the guy filming pan to the right and capture what really happened?

2) Why did the driver take off without waiting for his passenger?

Where I live the percentage of drivers that fail to yield to pedestrians is about 90%. I run fairly regularly, it is unsafe to assume a car will stop at the crosswalk, and the vast majority roll right through, some just barely slow down. I was almost hit once, and I'm far more careful now.

If they are particularly egregious or ignorant I might kick their car...but that's a bit over the top.

So how much will they make off 5 million+ views of this video of dubious origin?

I thought the skateboarder got knocked down by the car?

Then...........got honked at.

For getting in the way of the driver......while in the cross walk?

That's not cool....

It's impossible to say, but I would not be surprised if the skateboard guy went flying into the crosswalk and surprised the guy in the McLaren, causing him to honk. The driver didn't seem to be going that fast, and did not seem to be very douchy based on his response to having the windshield smashed. We would need to see a different angle to really know. If you listen to the audio, you can hear the skateboarder put his board on the ground, push several times, then you hear someone say "whoa!", then the honk.

I would think the skateboard guy was being a bit short fused, but again impossible to say what happened.

any guesses on the cost of that windshield? has to be cheaper than the hood.

and i bet that passenger lost a few valuable seconds getting the fancy door opened. regular door that kid might have been caught.
