Naw, animated fantasy but... I stood at the site of major tank battle overlooking Syria in the Golan Heights last year. Israel takes border security VERY seriously.

Should these things really exist, then the only worry is if Arab ground forces capture a robot tank destroyer and give it to the Russians to copy for them. Hopefully it has a self-destruct feature if captured hopefully getting the ground troops as well.
As for the bomb dispenser in the back of a cargo plane ,that will make bomber aircraft obsolete.

It was a mistake since my sleep habits are in the dumpster......oh yeah, yer from Joisey, you lack empathy....since my back surgery I can't guarantee that when I go to to bed to that I will actually sleep. I'm lucky to get 3 hours a night. So when I DO get up, I can be a bit fuzzy for a few hours.

But hey, thanks for your support. The video is what it is, a video....I don't know if it represents current technology or not. Just thought it was cool. I "almost" joined the Army when I was 18 and they wanted me for tanks.....I declined. My Dadz told me stories after his friends in Korea. No thanks....o

That technology would have been devastating during the Battle of Kursk. Now we have A-10s and cruise missiles.

The biggest non nuclear bomb is already delivered by cargo plane. The MOAB is 21,000 lbs.

About 20 years ago a guy I know was telling me about a project he was working on.

It could be delivered with a J-DAM or a cruise missile that flew low until it HEARD enemy tanks.
It then changed direction and flew straight up, until it got to about 15000 feet.
then it peeled open like a banana and released up to 24 small shape-charged armor-piercing munitions, each floating down slowly on a parachute.

The "mother ship" from the cruise missile would listen to the battlefield and identify enemy tanks by sounds and/or infra-red signatures.

It would then send a signal to the small munitions assigning each one to a different target.

Once they all had a target acquired and locked on, they would instantly release their parachutes and fire down on their respective targets, killing up to 24 tanks with one bomb in a a split second.

I said, COOL.
Ne said, naw, we have lots of stuff that is way cooler than that but I can't talk about it yet.

The bad guys already know about this one and have their own versions.

EDIT: Kinda like this kangaroo version:

Artist's rendering.

I'm willing to bet the artist did not funny comprende the design of the RPG's or cannon or whatever the heck would really be on top of that thing, or maybe he did and was ordered NOT to disclose it's secret design so he came up with a basic, non-working and non-accurate design for us all to pick apart.

BTW, about 40 years ago that same guy was tellin me about another project he was working on.

it started out as a rocket, that changed to an un-manned jet airplane after take-off.

It had an onboard computer with all sorts of digital photographs of ground terrain and in its memory and it had a camera that would take pictures of the ground as it flew around and compare those pictures to pictures in its memory to figure where it was and where it was going. Like Terrain Contour Matching or Digital Scene Matching Area Correlation.

It had giros and could also kinda guess where it was and where it came from to help.

It could fly 750 miles on its own and go down a street and make a right turn at the intersection, and then fly through a specific window of a specific building and then blow up and kill everyone in that room.

I said no way,
He said yes way.
I said no way.

He was describing the early cruise missile (before GPS)

He also said that by the time Joe Q. Public learns about a weapons system, chances are it's already obsolete.
