She deserves her own reality TV show!

Purdy and no teeth, don't get much better than that, oh yeah and smart as a puppy.

After a recent little wimpy F1 tornado in the local area that tore up some trees and a barn a local TV station interviewed a local woman. She was fairly attractive, articulate and spoke intelligently about the storm and that with their insurance they would have the barn repaired and the horses were all fine. I felt almost cheated

Invariably the reporters find the toothless person to quote "I seed it comin over the hill and it tored up my mobile home"

I really suspect the real reason we see those types on TV more is that they want to be on TV. Their 15 minutes of fame.

So are you saying Glen, is that this lady esteems herself on the overmuch end of the spectrum?

Maybe we need something like green font for when you want to say something demeaning but don't actually want to be perceived as a dick.

No green ink is required, I found out.

I suspect that reporters are lazy and walk right up to the first person at hand, wherever they happen to be, get their footage and head over to Starbucks.
Not every neighborhood is going to be posh.

The woman spoke with good grammar and gave a cogent recitation of the events she observed. She had good presence on camera which I can tell you from first hand experience not all professionals (me included) possess on their first TV appearance, whether local or network. I see no reason to criticize her. And many members of PPOT would not have done as well on their inaugural appearance on television.

Just lacking teeth and not self conscious about it. Some of you guys have never been out of your upper middle class neighborhood? There are a lot of people in the US without teeth and many of them don't think too much about it - half the people they know in their social circle don't have teeth either.

And yes, I would not try to be in the street when the TV crew comes to ask someone about the events. With OR without teeth!

Seems appropriate for the thread.

I find it very sad that someone can be judged by their 'natural' physical appearance. Especially when it involves a different social class. Its like making fun of rich people with expensive nose or boob jobs... except in reverse. This shows no class whatsoever. Tolerance is something that Americans are in very short supply of these days.

Now, change the subject to obesity, tattoos, anything gang related, lifestyle related, etc, and I am all onboard for judging people. They are asking for it.

So that's what qualifies as humor to you, huh? You must be quite the card.
