This 14th century door at Exeter Cathedral, UK, is thought to be the oldest existing cat flap. A cat was paid a penny each week, to keep down the rats and mice in the north tower, and a cat flap was cut into the door below the astronomical clock to allow the cat to carry out its duties. Records of payments were entered in the Cathedral archives from 1305 to 1467, the penny a week being enough to buy food to supplement a heavy diet of rodents. |

I did!!! But after I asked if I could. I think they have the sign up to prevent a mad rush on the KitKats. They did say that one lady attempted to walk out with them in hand, claiming that she takes in strays. Guess she didn’t read the part where they are working employees,[emoji3]
Homer was beyond chill. He would just lay there and take all the chin scratches you could muster. Didn’t budge a hair when stopped, like he was sooooo use to it. Didn’t see Jack but I knew he was around. Such an awesome thing HD had going at that location. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

We have a feral cat hanging around at work. Been leaving food out for her and tonight she came close to the food while I sat next to it. Now I understand why….[emoji853]
I am planning on bringing a trap to see if I can catch her and get her some medical attention as well as getting fixed. Any pointers??? Pretty little girl https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...7157c29e49.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8866b5526e.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...9b753e7a14.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...33579468fb.jpg If you zoom in on her face, her left eye is missing, possibly from birth and her right eye is suffering from a bacteria infection. Unknown if it is savable. |
If a cat ever needed it's life saved...good luck with the rescue, bugs...

Thank you sir, I will take any advise anyone has on trapping a feral KitKat. Mrs. Bugs is in AZ with our youngest son’s family but she has been briefed on my plan. The question will be if we will have a new family member when she gets back. The last feral kitty we rescued ended up being the most affectionate cat I’ve ever been owned by. Wish me luck fellers…. Good luck on your rescue bugs. Please keep us apprised of her progress.

Hi guys,
Just wanted to let you know that I was able to get Miss Kitty into the pet crate that I baited with wet food. She entered with about 1/4 of her body outside. I gently touched her tail and closed the door quickly behind her. She lightly hissed a couple of times which is to be expected. Have her in the office with a towel covering the carrier in an attempt to make it as quiet as possible even though she can’t see. I took a ten second video of her in the carrier where she mewed softly between bites of food. Now I just hope I can get her into our vet tomorrow before the holiday.[emoji1695][emoji1695][emoji1695][emoji1695] This is a pic of her butt against the carrier door.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...da75d7f08b.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
