Well, great cat news on the BVD Motorsports front. I didn’t say anything, but not long after I posted that picture of Simon, he disappeared, and since he was not feeling well, I feared the worst. Months later, a cat resembling Simon was spied peeking around the corner of the house.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploh...1732649306.jpg
I called his name and he ran as soon he heard it. Remember, Simon was never around men, http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1732651068.jpg Then, he stopped running and started talking. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/19Uh8GAD67/?mibextid=WC7FNe Then he would slowly let me closer. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1732651380.jpg And he was letting me get closer. And then, if I was in the backyard, instead of running to the sago, he was talking, but I still had to keep my distance. Then yesterday, he, taking up a storm, he actually let me close enough to pet him, and then I picked him up, he screamed, but didn’t fight, and I carried him inside the house and put him down. Well, did take long for him to go back to his old spot under the couch. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1732652468.jpg I put some treats there for him ( he had been eating them outside) and didn’t move, growl as I pushed them closer to him, he actually seemed very relaxed. Then I checked under the couch this morning, treats were gone and so was he. I had the other doors closed other than the bedroom with the cat door to the back porch where I have the litter box and food. I checked out there, but then he ran by, and into his other favorite place, the fireplace (I live in Florida, doesn’t get used much ) where he has been curled up all day. And he knows that I know where he is, but he is winking and curled up. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1732653427.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1732653427.jpghttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1732653531.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1732653531.jpg And Mr Grumps is back in my lap from time to time. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1732653729.jpg And Stella is still on me as much as she can.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1732653878.jpg So, other than my Mother’s fractured ribs and collapsed vertebrae (surgery Dec 6th) the cats are great again. |

I have a feral cat who lives in my yard..I feed him daily give water, and even had a little house he would sometimes sleep in..His kitty house blew away last week in a windstorm..
So I got a more substantial shelter and then I thought how can I make this crib more enticing?.. I'm cat sitting Oreo a female Tuxedo... so I thought let Oreo get in the house and spread the female pheromones... So far my plan has met with total failure... Brand new cat condo vs paper bag Paper bag for the win http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1733524083.jpg Oreo has no problem sitting on top of the cat condo...but is uninterested on going inside... But hey that brown paper bag is great.. Effin cats.. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1733524191.jpg |

Simon has completely gotten back to more comfortable being back inside and is definitely fully adjusted, happy and appreciative. As for Mr Grumps, he is coming in a few times a day and napping on me. Kinda screws up my schedule, but, he is relaxed.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1734665459.jpg

Well, it looks like we have an outside cat. Our neighbors moved away almost six months ago and left her behind. I hadn't seen her until five days ago, when I was returning from the store. I thought it was a possum or something because of the thin tail. She scuttled of into the brush, but didn't go far. She finally came out and let me pet her. She's pretty thin and shabby. She is the only remaining one from a litter of five. The others went the way of coyotes, owls, etc., so she is quite a survivor. We'll keep her as an outside cat, feed her, give her a place to sleep, flea & tick meds, etc., brush and pet her. I didn't want any pets, but can't say no to her. She's staying around now and seems comfortable.
