^^^^^ RLMFAO
I could almost hear the bell with the prize fight narration. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c3fcf2f1bb.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ed32cd5929.jpg Just tel yur human to get a tree bra... |
😃 It was a pretty funny wrestling match. Slow motion...it lasted 4 minutes.
I've always liked those trees, just never picked one up. The cats have a couple chairs they like to chill on. Oliver stays mostly in the house while Chester hangs with me out in the shop. Your black cat sure is cute! |

Thanks! We got lucky with her. She was a feral kitty til 09 when we got hit with a freak snow storm that dropped 24" of snow and knocked out power for five days. I plucked her from the tree line after the third day. We hadn't seen her during the storm but could hear her yeowling uphill from our house. Thinking I would only cut a path for her to the house and that would be it. She was hunkered down on a log and just looked at me when I cut the path. When I bent down to see if she was ok, she gave me a head-butt as kitties like to do. She has been living large inside since and is one of the most affectionate cats that's ever lived with us. When I start with the belly rubs, the drool starts flowin. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b3b59acd51.jpg We picked up our tree at Costco. Seems like they show up in the spring and are dirt cheap compared to the big pet store chains. Cheers Keep the WWC segments rolling. Update: now Just like clockwork, sitting in office attempting to study = cat in lap, sitting on the material and a pound of cat fur all over the white shirt.... I wouldn't trade it for anything. She is my pal. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c78704c0a3.jpg It's amazing how much a cat weighs when stepping on your gut https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9b025b8e52.jpg Two seconds after I took this shot, she darn near cracked my nose with one of her trademark head butts, then proceeds to lick my nose afterwords. Two words; Tic Tac Like clockwork..... different day https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...511ce189ac.jpg |

Thor. He's cute as hell but not very bright.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1485210707.jpg Or graceful. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1485210707.jpg Unlike the very regal Loki. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1485210707.jpg |

My high school girl friend decided that I needed a cat. Her Siamese produced a batch of mongrel kittens that she was trying to unload. After a few years, he grew into a mighty fine pet. Here he posed for a portrait.

I've been waiting till he shows up to put food out for him. Make a show of walking to the back door with the scoop outstretched but as soon as he hears the door unlock poof, he's gone. So I've been rattling the bowl before putting it back in his cat house hoping he'd associate it with feeding time. Three weeks ago he did not run off but hung 5 or so feet away and actually approached within a foot and meowed. Means he's a stray and not feral. A feral cat will almost never ever approach people or vocalize at them. Strays will. Two weeks ago I was out front talking to a neighbor and I hear this fappity fappity fap getting louder. Look across the street and here comes Outside Cat hauling ass in my direction with a glue trap stuck to him. He makes for the back yard and I'm thinking great, now I have to try to catch him and get the trap off. I put on a leather jacket and work gloves cause a freaked out cat is not something you want to try and wrangle without some armor. I go into the yard and as soon as he sees me he's off over the fence and gone. Posted a message on the community Facebook page to keep an eye out for him and let me know if anyone sees him. Next afternoon he was back in the hood sans glue trap and seemed no worse for the experience but he's very skittish and has not really been coming around during the day. Tonight I was walking into the kitchen and saw Loki staring out the back door then saw the eyes looking in. Got the food scoop and did my big show bit. Went outside and he barely moved away. Bent down with the food and he came right up to me and let me pet him for a few minutes. He's still cautious but this was a huge breakthrough. Even got the "I own you now" rub on the legs. Progress, feels good. He's not coming inside but as long as I can get him to trust me I'm good, means I can get him to a vet if he ever needs attention in the future. |
Nice work!

That's awesome!! Very good progress. 😄
It took us a year for Chester to decide to "adopt" us. You'll have twins in the house before you know it. 😁 |
