This bastard got into it again with another cat, so another trip to the vet and $200. I probably should get one of those loyalty punch cards.

Scritch yours behind the ears for me, will ya guys? Two days ago, our much loved Garfield made his final trip to the Vet. I thank him for all the years he gave us much more than we gave him.

He'll be our last pet..because of our ages.

Rest in peace buddy, you are sorely missed.

There are plenty of old and unwanted cats in shelters that need their cage changed for a house.
Just make a deal, you'll take an old cat off their hands and they'll take the old cat back when you need to go a shelter yerself.. it's a win win win
cat wins , he 's out of his cage
you win, you have a pet
cattery wins, they have one cat less to care for

I am caregiver for an aunt of 84 with alzheimer, her biggest problem is lack of company.
her son doesn't want to get a cat from the cattery.. and he doesn't even visit her that much.

It's a terrible thing to be geriatric and truly alone once the partner dies.

Her son bought her a robot dog. I'm telling you, it's sad to watch.
She could have had a cat for the last 3 years.. and old one, from the shelter.

Another 85 year old lady i know , still lives alone, no dementia but very poor physique.. her hubby was my shooting buddy for long range TR....he was healthy , built like a tank

their cat died 4 years ago, he died last year.. she's all alone stuck in an apartment, no cat
and the housing association says she can't have pets (illegally might I add).

tried to convince her to tell the HA to go F themselves and get the cat rescue to bring em one of their old cats, on the condition they'll take him back if she no longer can take care of it.
They were all aboard for it.. but lady to worried bout the HA threatening her

Very sad.

Trouble is, if the dog attacks someone you go to jail.

Actually, that's a good idea...an older cat...but not going to happen here. All the toys, cat tree, litter pans, and food have already left the place...Cindy says "no more grief from losing a pet"...and pretty obvious she means it judging by how rapidly any and all reminders left here.

We'll still be making our usual donations to the local no kill shelter we support.

Woke up to the itty bitty kitty chewing and kneading on her newfound favorite blanket. That just so happened to be covering my legs while I was sleeping.
