First big thing I have tried, mostly small stuff around here. I got my acceptance letter the other day. It will start with a reception January 7 in The Stark Gallery located on Sixth St in the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego. I haven't been there but it looks like a big spot. The biggest thing to happen to me in my sculpture life. It will run for about two months. This is the Polar Bear I entered, about 80 lbs of Italian Marble.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1472831627.jpg

Your early work was very, very good but you are really improving!
That bear is beautiful!

Very Cool. Congrats.

Again, thank you all for your comments and you can see it "live" in San Diego, The Sparks Gallery, 560 sixth st, The Gaslamp Quarter. A ways away, the Reception open to the public is the evening of 7 January from 6 to 9 and the show runs for two months. I already got a hotel a couple blocks away so I can have a wine or two and not drive home.

That's what started this, I couldn't even spell art before that trip, and that motorcycle museum was great.

Well done Mr Dean. Just don't talk politics when you're there ;)

Good for you! You really deserve that spot. Your work is excellent and that bear would be perfect by my garden pond in winter.

What? A Polar Bear walking on ICE!?

Well now that's not very politically correct at all. :D

Didn't you get the memo that says that the ice caps all melted in 2012 and Polar Bears have been swimming about ever since? ;)

Seriously, tho, nice work; obviously.

Glad you didn't have to die to get "In the Gallery". Congrats!

Your sculpture work is fantastic, as always Dean. You truly deserve a spot at the show, and the accolades from everyone that has seen your works. Very nice stuff.

All the best.
