That is more like bath salts than weed. It is probably legal already, so they use it instead of weed. Legalize the pot, and they would not be using this other stuff.

Why are we wasting resources on saving people trying so hard to remove themselves from the gene pool?
They all know the stuff can kill them. Using that elephant tranquilizer to get high is like playing Russian roulette with an automatic pistol. Thin the stupid ones out.

Totally irrelevant to any discussion of weed legalization, it has no association to thc...
Haven't heard anybody here advocating legalization of everything... |

This is a great article on Kush. It is some bad, bad stuff. Not remotely connected to marijuana, more like shredded gym socks sprayed with chemicals made in China and then smoked.
I met a man the other day who worked in the Harris County psyche ward. He does the overnight and had some fascinating stories. A large portion of his people are there for Kush related problems. How Houston Became Kush City | Houston Press Sypho Turner is only 56 years old, but when he sits on the trash-strewn pavement below the Southwest Freeway overpass near the Wheeler Metro Station in Midtown, the low light deepens his cracked skin, turns his toothless smile into a black pit and makes his battered face look like a well-worn catcher’s mitt. He’d pass for at least a few decades older, perhaps even for a corpse. Years of smoking crack cocaine will do that to a man. But the fresh bruises and scabs on his arms and head — “battle scars,” as Sypho excitedly describes them — aren’t from crack. In fact, Sypho says, he hasn’t smoked crack or even weed in a few years. His scars are instead from kush, the new drug of choice among Houston’s homeless.

Yeah... not weed:
"It's a designer drug made from combinations of synthetic chemicals sprayed on potpourri, then packaged like candy and smoked like marijuana." You realize tobacco is "smoked like marijuana" right?

The only relation to pot is that some pot strains have slang names like Kush, Purple Kush, etc.

These sketchy "research chemicals" exist solely to be the legal alternative to marijuana. Pretty sad state of affairs.

Nobody who smokes MJ is looking for a "legal alternative" they just smoke MJ. These crazy concoctions are used by those who are into much harder drugs.
MJ smokers, who don't use other drugs (by far the majority) like it because it is easy on the body and leaves no residual effects like an alcohol hangover. You think these chemical concoctions are in any way easy on the body? MJ is much more akin to alcohol than any hard drug, and it is a lot easier on you than alcohol is. All these created nutso drugs are for people that cannot afford or find true opiates, not people looking for an alternative to MJ. People who smoke that can't get weed generally just don't get high, they don't down household chemicals because they are not out of control addicts with no regard for their bodies for the most part.

Well, when you pin a real Libertarian down, they will admit their philosophy leads to everything being legal. So, maybe not here, but there are folks out there who truly believe it.

not paraquat..
Phencyclidine (PCP), also known as angel dust and Sernyl among others,[3] is a dissociative drug. PCP was brought to market in the 1950s as an anesthetic pharmaceutical drug but was taken off the market in 1965 due to the high prevalence of dissociative hallucinogenic side effects. Moreover, the discovery of ketamine by Parke-Davis researchers was thought to represent a better-tolerated alternative for use as an anesthetic medication. Since this time a number of synthetic derivatives of PCP have been sold as dissociative drugs for recreational and non-medical use.[4] In chemical structure, PCP is a member of the arylcyclohexylamine class, and, in pharmacology, it is a member of the family of dissociative anesthetics. PCP works primarily as an NMDA receptor antagonist, where it blocks the activity of the NMDA receptor. As an addictive drug, PCP is associated with compulsive abuse.[1][4][5][6] As a recreational drug, PCP may be ingested orally, smoked, insufflated or injected.[7] PCP began to emerge as a recreational drug in major cities in the United States in 1967.[8]:46 In 1978, People magazine and Mike Wallace of 60 Minutes called PCP the country's "number one" drug problem. Although recreational use of the drug had always been relatively low, it began declining significantly in the 1980s. In surveys, the number of high school students admitting to trying PCP at least once fell from 13% in 1979 to less than 3% in 1990.[8]:46–49 PCP comes in both powder and liquid forms (PCP base is dissolved most often in ether), but typically it is sprayed onto leafy material such as cannabis, mint, oregano, tobacco, parsley, or ginger leaves, then smoked.[citation needed] PCP is a Schedule II substance in the United States and its ACSCN is 7471.[9] Its manufacturing quota for 2014 was 19 grams.[10] It is a Schedule I drug by the Controlled Drugs and Substances act in Canada, a List I drug of the Opium Law in the Netherlands, and a Class A substance in the United Kingdom.[11 Rika |
