OK I’ll bite. It's a tough one, I’m torn between Dan (DByers) and Speedy007. They are both big guys, and that makes for fast weight loss when you get serious, ask me how I know. Dan is younger than Speedy007, which is a plus for weight loss, but doesn’t seem to have quite the fight in him. I’m thinking Speedy007 will probably show everyone up just because he entered this damn contest and posted his pics on the web for God and the world to see.

So that’s my rationale, I’m betting on Speedy007.

Only if someone else will let me ride with them... I doubt I'll be able to talk the boyfriend into going and I don't think you'll would appreciate a VUE going on the ride... I'd try to keep up but it just wouldn't be the same.

Wow, 2 votes for me and only one of them is mine. What are all you other guys and 1 girl going to do to lose your weight? My plan consists of: Eating less (IE, I usually eat a large pizza when I eat pizza, now I'll eat a medium, instead of 3 burritos for breakfast, just 2, instead of a six pack of Cokes a day, I'll TRY to limit them to 3, that's my worst habit), Exercising more (I've got a basketball league that starts in January so that should be good for at least 10 or so lbs.) I know that doesn't sound like a lot but it should make a difference. Good luck!! Pass some votes my way, I could use a good cheering section!!!

Mike, I set an initial goal to lose 10% of total weight in 6 weeks. Anything more then that you could be doing more harm then good. Then I set another goal to lose 10% more. It's easier to reach your goal if you chunk it up. Since I knew I wasn't going to be able to do it by myself I joined Weight watchers and followed their Winning Points plan. In 9 months I lost 45lbs. I've kept it off for two years now. When I saw Dave's post I decided here is my chance to lose more. I know I won't lose as much as the rest of you guys but I thought we could motivate each other to lose some weight and in the end we would all be winners. I would recommend WW for anyone who wants to lose weight and do it in a healthy way. The thing I liked best about WW is that I still got to eat all the junk I normally ate, just not as much. The key is to eat it in moderation and to add healthier (free - no point) foods in between meals.

I think the OT forum would be a good move. There's no reason to force Tim and the other non-interested parties to scroll past this constantly. Those of us involved know where to look. PP has been very nice about this contest thus far, and the OT forum is probably the most suitable.
