As usual death and destruction at the NYC West Indian Day Parade
A beautiful young college student murdered at the parade pre party because an idiot fires a gun aimlessly saying he did not know it was loaded. He then goes to a friends house and unloads two more rounds into the wall saying again he did not know it was loaded. There were also three others shot and two stabbed. In all there were 2 killed and 5 injured. All of this happened even though there were signs up all over asking them not to shoot or stab anyone. Can you believe that? There were 3200 police officers assigned to the parade to attempt to curb the usual violence.
This happens every year consistently yet they let this parade continue year after year. Where is the outrage? Where is BLM? Where are the protestors? OK, as a Okie I had never heard of the West India Day parade.
They name a parade and big event for West India, but it actually West Indies not West India and that is a BIG difference in culture and religions. That is bizarre. Maybe they need another parade called China day and celebrate the culture of Mexico. I am just glad it is a NYC only problem. They can figure it out without my help.

The shootings were just several blocks apart. I have an apartment right between them. My girlfriend was dining at a place at Flatbush and Empire that night.
It truly is a very diverse community.

How about the fact that the NYC DOT removed pedestrian islands on Eastern Parkway that they just installed under a year ago which was ordered by May De ******* so the party goers would be safe. The community fought for years to get these islands. I saw them breaking up the islands with a backhoe with a breaker attachment at 5:30 AM a week before the parade. It cost 40k to remove them and they do not know yet what to put back.
The mayor just appeases groups for votes. The shootings happen every year. The population who attend have a terrible problems with ruthless gangs.
