Narcissist

Narcissist:
An obvious self-focus in interpersonal exchanges
Problems distinguishing the self from others (see narcissism and boundaries)
Hypersensitivity to any insults or imagined insults (see criticism and narcissists, narcissistic rage and narcissistic injury).
Vulnerability to shame rather than guilt.
Haughty body language.
Flattery towards people who admire and affirm them (narcissistic supply).
Detesting those who do not admire them (narcissistic abuse).
Using other people without considering the cost of doing so.
Pretending to be more important than they actually are.
Bragging (subtly but persistently) and exaggerating their achievements.
Claiming to be an "expert" at many things.
Inability to view the world from the perspective of other people.
Denial of remorse and gratitude.

Has to be the best in every exchange, or has to feel like he or she has won. Cannot abide feeling inferior or less than. Uses rules to control or judge other people, but can make up his or her own rules when they apply to themselves. Can be very charming when getting what he or she wants, but willing to act out in a variety of ways when things are not going his or her way.

Often acts one way while being observed, but often willing to say or do anything in situations where he or she feels that they cannot be caught. Often have uncontrollable compulsions without realizing it, and cannot stop until an objective is met, or resistance is withdrawn.

Constantly compares the self with others in an effort to feel superior. Constantly creates situations in which they can demonstrate superiority.
