Cruddy day in my 911

Great.....****ty day as a ref and my Hillary blessed windshield washers are non-op. My guess is ****ty China wiper fluid. Gotta pump air to clear a blockage.

HORRIBLE day as a referee. Coaches throwing F-bombs, same with the kids, late hits....sidelines filled with spectators and cheerleaders AND FREAKIN wheel chair......THAT IS MY LANE!!!!! MY BEACH, MY RULES, MY SCHIZZLE......I run that lane and I WILL knock yer ass over and gut you...... OK I feel better now.

Sorry sir. Some days are a biatch.

At least you were in the 911. Imagine how much it would've sucked if you were in a Hyundai or a Smart car.

Could be sticking check valves. I'd try disconnecting upstream of the check valves to see if you get pressure.

Joe Bob 09-15-2016 09:28 PM

Nope, checked fuses, connections, blew out the lines.....it's the pump. AGAIN, third one one in I don't know how long. PP purchased....probably a crappy supplier. Bet they get them where everyone else gets them

I don't use it a lot due to nice weather and it is not a daily driver. VERY inconvenient. I hope they step up and cover it.

I don't know if yours is like the one in my old '88. It was inop when I had my car. I took the pump apart and cleaned out the bottom end where the gears are and put it back together and it worked for several more years until I sold the car. The bottom end had gotten gunked up since it had sat with fluid until I dried out. The dry fluid kept it from spinning.

I'll try to r&r the pump, couldn't hurt. Be hey....I have heat for the first time in 12 years.

So I fixed the window washer pump but the tank is toast... looks like it got loose after the bolt worked itself out.

WTB ad to be posted....

You just added lightness!

You want reliability? From a Porsche?

DanielDudley 09-17-2016 01:32 PM

One of the Miata guys lost his radiator cap, and was able to whittle a new one with a pocket knife and a tree branch.

I'm thinking maybe you could custom cut a vinyl wrap for that sucker, given your resources. :p

I took mine out, unbolted the lower pump section, ran 12v to it and it would hum but not spin. Hit it with screw driver, tried 12v again and VOILA! worked great since

Blew compressed air thru it.....didn't even remove it.

DanielDudley 09-18-2016 09:32 AM

What the heck have you got in your back seat there ??? Looks like giant fingers under the rollbar.

Joe Bob 09-18-2016 09:33 AM

Those ARE my fingers reflected back in the wide angle Wink mirror. I also have a bike rack mounted on the roll bar....

DanielDudley 09-18-2016 10:25 AM

Nice mirror !

unclebilly 09-18-2016 05:45 PM

So dumb question... The dual gauges in the place of your clock... Are those the level gauges for your windshield and headlight washer fluid tanks?

Joe Bob 09-18-2016 05:47 PM

Voltmeter and head temp.....

unclebilly 09-18-2016 05:48 PM

^ very cool...
