You guys are doing it wrong. After 14 years of marriage when I say it keeps getting better, I mean it ALL keeps getting better.;)

Quickly buy everything you want to have grandfathered... Motorcycle, evil black rifle, boat, etc. ;-)
All kidding aside, best of luck!

congratulations, if she put up with you this long you probably have it made. and what I do with my wife when we are walking at the beach, I try to stay just a half step back so she doesn't see my head twisting.

51 year old bachelor here. I really have to ask this question because I've been wondering about it for quite a few years. Toilet lid up or down? lol

J/k. What is the difference in getting married vs. staying the way things have been? Same couple, same home, same everything, just a ring on her finger.

Congrats Fred. One thing about a long term relationship is that among other things, you become (hopefully) best of friends with each other's welfare being more important than your own. You can't ask for much more in a relationship. Looks like you have a good start on that.

Advice?

You already did the hard part, found one that can tolerate living with you.

Enjoy the honeymoon

RANDY P 09-17-2016 03:59 PM

Why all the congrats? It's almost amusing in its naivete.
Please. They're in their 50s or 60s. I'm assuming this is about passing along assets, and is purely a tactical choice, not a "romantic" one.
He's going to come home and everything is going to be exactly identical to how it was yesterday, and the 20 years prior.

Congratulations-
And if there are any doubts, the relative isolation of Ocracroke will give you a good 12 hours or so of isolation to rethink (or swim in a pointless direction) things (not that it will be needed! ) ;)
