My last few hours of freedom , any advice ?
 

Alright, so I finally did it. I'm getting married at 7 pm this evening, on the beach on Ocracoke island .
I have always addressed her as my wife here, not meaning to decieve any of you guys, but I have always thougth of her as such. We have been a team for a long time . Today , it becomes official .
We have been together since 95, and living together since 97, so there are no surprises in store for me ( hopefully ) . I know this seems like a long time, but you gotta be sure about these things you know .
I got all the hookers and blow out of my system 25 years ago, so I am good there . I just spent the last hour riding arund the island on my scooter oogling all the eye candy for one last time . Any other last minute words of wisdom ?
Only off the island is by ferry, I dont think I can get away , even if I wanted to

Congrats Fred. I think you are doing the right thing. You have had enough time to think about it and if it feels right then it is right. Perhaps you are not telling us everything. Perhaps the FIL shows you his loaded shotgun every few months.....:eek:

FWIW, my father was married 4 x's.

My mother lasted 15 years.

The others, maybe 15 months.

His last and longest relationship he never married.

It worked for them.

You and your brides obvious commitment to each other speaks more than any piece of paper ever can.

Congrats, sounds like you picked a good one! Lots of guys like to b!t$h about marriage here, but finding the right woman is the best thing that's ever happened to me. 14 years and it keeps getting better, she even enjoys Porsches and drove my Boxster to a PCA event last week.

Marriage is a three ring circus:

2. Wedding ring
3. Suffer-ring.
