Fun little hot rod. Most of my small jet time was in a Lear or Bombardier and I appreciate that mode of travel. My dad used to live a few doors down from Clay Lacy's vacation home in NorCal. They hung out and talked airplanes when Clay was up there.

I didn't know that. I'm on them once or twice a year. The last time was when that little kid got killed by the gator at Disneyworld. When the incident occurred, I was on the G550 with Bob Igor (CEO of Disney) within about 4 hours.

That must having been a sadly interesting trip. How to CYA while not looking at fault.

hugh, I fly private for work on our hawker 900xp. not as large or with the range of the G. I am currently working on a large-ish project in Hawaii. my cfo says that if we win the deal, we will get a bigger jet and one w/ range to get us from the chino fbo to the islands! the hawker is not able to make the trip to ohau due to range limitations and reserve margins. I highly recommend flying private and I think my company wants the Hawaii deal just as an excuse to get a bigger jet. challenger or G please hugh, I hope all is well both personally and professionally. best,

I've right seated this one a couple times .....it was easy to fly. All I had to remember was one thing: "no matter what happens, don't touch anything!!!!! Last edited by sammyg2; 10-05-2016 at 05:52 AM..

You have no idea.. Especially when you land at Teterboro or Orange County or Aspen, etc.. and you see literally 200 of those planes lined up all around the place. And even better, when you see a G550 land and then one guy, and maybe his wife, get out and walk 20 feet over to a running and waiting Sikorsky helicopter which then promptly takes them into Manhattan or out to the Hamptons... Crazy indeed...

I mean... that's a nice jet but am I the only one that noticed the hangar in which it's sitting? Major garage envy here! LOL...

My son works for Gulfstream in the engineering dept. I'll tell him that you like their products! As usual, there is new stuff in the works so keep an eye out for press releases.

One really, really, really rich guy had chartered a jet several times and that pilot mentioned to him that if he wanted he could lease his own jet, hire him, and fly wherever he wanted for free because while the plane was down the pilot would take over-flow charter business to cover all expenses. Long story longer: the rich guy now has 4 jets, that pilot runs the charter company and flies the rich guy all over (mostly to his yatchet in the carribe), and the rich guy is still getting richer. Here's his yachet: motor yacht - 49.7m (163 ft) - Westport Yachts - 2013 Yacht Value: USD 40 million No you won't get a lemon, I wouldn't have got a lemon? That corporate jet is a lot nicer than flying commercial but you haven't really had the experience until you fly on someone's private jet. They don't need standard airline type seating like pictured and can be decorated like an apartment. Anything goes on those.
