A P-Car back in my garage!

My son had been chasing this car for a couple of years then 3 weeks ago he texted me that he finally got the owner to sell it to him. When I asked his intentions with it he said " I bought it for you!" I have no place for 3 cars..So I sold my MGB and this weekend Mike delivered it. It has 61,000 original miles on it. All the docs all the way back to delivery in NC in 1975. Even has the original window sticker owners card and service books. NO RUST.....ANYWHERE!! original spare tire that has never been on the road. It has some electrical issues though as it was in storage since 2011 and mice did some damage. No brake lights back ups or cornering lamps in the back. They ate a bit of the fabric on the seats as well. It runs great!

Anybody ever seen this interior fabric?

"Great son," Bob mused while casually lighting a cigarette, "but not good son".

The 914 is so much more car than the B was. I have had 4 914s in my life. Simply a joy to drive. Yeah Mike is a great son. He got the gasoline gene from me as well.

My whole family knew I regretted selling my 911S. This was my sons way of filling the hole for me. Of course I had to pay him for it but it was quite a bargain at that.

I'm 6'0 200(+ cough) but I couldn't fit into a Karman Ghia I once wanted so much before the pcar purchase.

Same with the OEM high stock seats and steering wheel combo on the 70T when it was once on the road.
It felt like the knees were strapped in.
Never understood that.

Wonderful! That's a great color. I had a 67 MGB and would trade it for a 914 in a hearbeat. This will get the Porsche juices flowing again David - go get it fixed and drive!

Nice score! I want one too. I've never owned a 914. Rust buckets in SoCa are going for $12K. There are so few left that I believe they will het $40K in a couple years.

No idea on the fabric, looks like Houndstooth but the pattern is wrong. Original?
