I think my Os can't play small ball good enough to get past Toronto. Manny and Chris in particular.

The Mets have a promising young player, he hit the very first professional pitch he ever faced over the fence.
Don't think he'll be much of a factor in this year's post season tho ....... ![]() ![]() |

As long as they bench him right now, he'll have a good record. Otherwise, he's kinda known as a player who fades quickly and catastrophically...

Jays are too dependent on the long ball and can't seem to just poke a few balls for runs.

He is NOT known for that. Would he be better if he was a radical muslim ex-con who beats his wife and just got out of rehab? That would certainly make him more popular in some crowds ...... |

Oh, he's known for continuing his stellar college football career as a professional, where he continues to play at the top of the league as the best quarterback?
No? He's known for coming in with lots of media bluster, then basically falling on his face after the first NFL season, similar to another well know, media darling quarterback recently? In fact, looking at stats, it appears that he's been very successful...playing pre-season games, then being benched or fired, year after year. Does his home run with the Mets count as a pre-season game? I hope the Mets hung the 2017 season on his shoulders!

I hate to say it, but I believe the Giants don't have the roster to get to the postseason. The bull pen has a bunch of unhappy, ineffective pitchers, rumors that Boch has alienated a good number of them. Mediocre starting pitching combined with a schizo offense that one night scores 12, the next night they score dick. As al lifelong Giants fan I just do not see it.
The Cubs are the team to beat in the NL, stellar pitching, great offense, great defense. The question mark is they don't have experience in the post season playing in must win games. Plus there is The curse of the Billy Goat. The Orioles would be my pick in the AL. As for Tebow, who wouldn't want to keep chasing the dream?

Watching baseball during the regular season is like watching paint dry, over and over. I like the playoffs though.
This year the Rangers are good, but when things go south, they rank right up there with the Cubs and the Houston DisAstros. So, I hope it's the Cubs and Rangers in the WS, and everyone is on the edge of their seat waiting for the choke(s) to ensue.

Been a Cubs fan since day 7. Many a picture of
Me in a box seat with a scowl, lol. Kessinger, Huntley, Fergie, Billy, Santo, Popovich, Cardinal (not those will remain unnamed) and of course Banks. More to list but you get the point. Man, the vibe of that park back then, winning team or no. Done a lot of livin and dyin with my boys in blue pins. Trying not to jinx it but, I think that last years post season experience is going to take them home this year fellas. Fuch that old goat. Bad news though,,, if they win, the world ends a week later. Sorry but, that's what I hear when I play stairway to heaven backwards.

I thought the same thing in 2010, 2012, and 2014. They were big underdogs all three times. They have a decent chance to make the post season, mainly because the Mets and Cards aren't exactly tearing it up, either.
If the Giants make it, they have the starting pitching to get it done, and Romo and Will Smith are looking good in the pen. It's hard to count them out once they get in.

Even as a boy growing up in the 60s I could not care less about watching a bunch of men playing a game with a ball even if they were well paid professionals. I just thought it was boring to watch other people play a game.
With that said I am pulling for the Cubbies. I am not pulling real hard but I think they are overdue. It is almost as important to me as professional badminton teams in Botswana, but I still would like to see the cubs win.
