Anyone here done a REFI on their house recently?

If so do you have a lender that you like?
TIA

We did last month. Used the same one that held the original.
Wells Fargo.
Couldn't have been easier. They came to the house and closed.
Got 2.75% on a 15 and had minimal costs - NY has a stamp tax you can avoid by using the same lender which made the decision easier.

If you like you can use my guy. His name is Guy Salisbury. All done over the phone and computer. We have done a bunch of stuff together, good guy. No banks, they will try their best to get you the best rate. They don't get pay if the loan does not fund. They have everything to lose and you do not.

In my experience, as soon as I refi the lender sells the cream-puff loan and makes $$$$ on it.

Second payment is to a different lender than the first.

Very true, but as long as I get what I want (consolodate a few things and lower my monthly payments) doesn't matter to me where the check goes.

Yes.
Clicked. Phone call next day.
Appraisal two days later - the only out of pocket cost.
Everything else was online.
Closing was about 30 days from the first click. Done by a notary, at my house.
Really very simple, but we didn't take any cash out and the LTV was way less than 80%

I've used Aimloan.com for a couple of purchases and refi's. Super simple, everything done online, the send out the appraiser and notary. Cake.

Based upon another CA Pelican's rec, I refi'd with CashCall a couple years ago. I was leary of their reputation, but it seems like the payday loan side of business must be different than the mortgage side. Took about 2-3 weeks, super easy to deal with, and everything was on the up and up. No surprise fees or anything.

Scott, PM you Guy's info. I am lazy, so I just give him all my info that's needed. When the time comes, done. Simple.

I recently refi'd and worked with Renzo Marsano from MAR Financial. He was on top of everything, and the process was smooth as silk. I'd recommend him to anyone.

Doesn't matter to me at all, but in the OP he asked if anyone had a lender they liked so I threw in my .02.

I did a couple of loans with Quicken Loans over the last few years. First one was quick, painless, and pleasant. The second one was really unpleasant and they were playing games with my numbers. The loan guy was just awful. Never going with them again.
