My favorite musician example is

Steve Miller.

Looks like your uncle and you could be standing next to him in line at the supermarket, and he's got HUNDREDS of millions of dollars - and he's a good musician.

This would be my wish.. To be a top 10 player in the world. Most wouldn't know who you were. Tons on cash, just enough fame to get all the perks. Plus just to be able to play that game at that level. Nothing quite like being able to hit a golf ball crisp and flush. To be able to flight the ball not a few times per round but almost every single time....heaven.

F-1 driver or something like the old ALMS series. Patrick Long type fame and money would be pretty ok too..

People think if only I hit the Lotto and I got it made. My breath won't smell, my shyte won't stink and the opposite sex will find me irrestible. When it happens you wake up with the same old hangover and delusionment sets in.

Porn star.

Or, if that doesn´t pan out, the dude who finally figured out nuclear fusion.

From resident fluffer to porn star?

I like my anonymity, but if I were to be famous, I would want it for doing good.

livi 10-28-2016 03:13 AM

Its all got to do with perspective. :D

According to everyone I know, I already am rich and famous.

For being a flat-out broke recluse who never answers the phone, that's pretty good.

scottmandue 10-28-2016 11:20 AM

Electronic musician, spend all day in my studio making music on the computer and get rich.

If I have or want to perform on stage wear some outlandish costume so no one will recognize me on the street (there are a couple guys that perform in helmets, I presume for that very same reason).

Anyone can be The Stig. Just get the suit and helmet and stand on a street corner with your arms crossed.

Saw him last year in Montana. Great show, very intimate. He sounded EXACTLY like he did 40 years ago. Auto tune?

No he's actually good. The keyboard player does double the lead vocal on quite a few songs to make it sound like that '70s double sound of his pop songs.

Umm. What's a line up? (That's how far I am from being a famous musician.)

Either/Both the people/instruments performing on stage. :)

One of my favorites back in the 70s was Bob Seger (Live Bullet :)) when he was breaking big. I always thought he was pretty down-to-earth...I recall he would grow his hair long for the album covers and touring, so he could chop it off and return to just being Bob with little recognition....thought that was pretty cool :)

Fame would suck imo, and too much money has screwed a LOT of folks up royally....careful what you wish for :(

Being famous would be OK as long as I had real money. You can insulate yourself with enough money.

Imagine being famous without it?

RKDinOKC 11-03-2016 02:44 PM

Famous as a writer using a pseudonym or pen name so nobody knew who I really am.

This is one of the big problems with life after being a child actress/actor. Short career, lots of fame, no money.

Putting an end to childhood cancer, or cancer period.
