Sit down and list the crap you have that isn't essential to daily life. Write down: How often you reasonably expect to use it. What it's worth on the market now. How much physical space it takes up. How much psychic space it fills. Make decisions about whether to sell it, give it away, or keep it based on those criteria. As for activities, you can list what you are committed to doing now, the things that you may choose to do, how much enjoyment you really get out of them, and decide which ones to eliminate from there. I've been selling stuff on ebay and craig's list for 3 years to clear out the crap. What I'm finding is that as time goes on a lot more stuff goes to Goodwill because I just want it gone and I don't need the money.
