Brazil F1

Ham has good practice run, and back to his yellow Senna helmet

Massa quick also, I would give almost anything to see Felipe win this race on Sunday. Would make up for a lot IMO

I hope so. Ham's been snakebit with reliability issues this year.

Looks like it raining in Brazil

Don't want to miss this start! What could possibly go wrong? Go Ham.

Go Max!

Vettel is so whiney this year. I'd love to see Verstappen beat him in the championship.

Great Race, Max was spectacular

How many of you guys had a little cry there with Massa on his walk back to his pit? I know I sure did. Nice man, and always was.

The rain made it interesting. I couldn't believe how Verstappen saved it and didn't lose a position.

Great drive by Max.
Did RB throw away a 2nd by pitting?

Yes, Not just by pitting but putting on inters and had to come back for wets. He could have stayed out like Merc did and had second and maybe a win.

Watching Verstappen was like watching Senna drive an amazing race in the rain.

I'm now officially in awe of Verstappen. Yes he's got rough edges, but that talent is not deniable. Wow, what a clinic.... he passed what? 13 cars in 14 laps or something ? I watched the Senna at Donington and Senna at Monaco videos (and live, at the time actually), but IMO this is more impressive, more cars, one per lap.... Damn !!!

PS: prediction for the last race: ROS's engine or tranny blows, or VES+RIC insert themselves in between. Either way, HAM wins race + WC again by a point or 2. Britney's been too happy sitting second lately, he's gonna lose it, you watch...

Verstappen's tires were much newer than the cars he was passing so they were largely sitting ducks. But he did outshine his teammate who was on similarly new rubber.

Verstappen won me over. There have been very few drivers who could do so well in the rain...Senna, Ascari, Moss. Once the kids matures out of the red mist zone, he's going to be one of the best.

I used to root for Rosberg to beat Hambone. As I've gotten to know Rosberg more, I see he's really just a whinny rich kid with slightly better than average skills in a very dominant car (ala Button in the 2009 Brawn car). Go Lewis!

My thoughts.

1) Lewis made no mistakes all race, exactly as he needed to.
2) RB threw away 2nd by calling Verstappen in. The way he was driving, he may have been able to challenge Lewis for the win.
3) Yes, Massa's crash was the saddest. F1 is losing two quiet, class act drivers next season with Massa and Button leaving.
4) I have my DVR set to record an extra hour. It cut out with 9 laps to go. I had to wait for the replay in the evening to see the end of the race.

same here, hard to anticipate so many stops/delays

I didnt get the final until I watching the recap today. Fresh tires or not, the kid was driving the wheels off the thing. I've been rooting for HAAS and to see RoGro out before the race was sad, I hope they can pull it together for the last race.

5) Esteban Gutierrez is done in F1. Kind of makes me wonder what we didn't see...

A lot of swearing about the electronics of the car and "fixing that #$@##$ thing". It's all good now according to the team boss and the driver... Sure it is, he's out anyway. He never showed any sign of being remotely special... He's got backing though, so maybe Manor, Sauber, or Indycar ?
