Looks like he ran out of talent when he turned the ignition on.

Well, either their notes were incorrect, there was miscommunication in the car or the driver had a total brain melt. Either way that 3R was a complete surprise. Rallying can be a brutal business.

There is a slightly longer version of this vid which shows bystanders standing by filming and woo-hooing while two crew in unknown condition are in the car, upside down and underwater.

Maybe he was an ex-NASCAR racer who didn't know how to turn right.

I take it they lived?

The word on that one I believe, was that the throttle stuck wide open....You can almost hear it on the vid as its still roaring while he has full brakes on..

Can't have been a Porsche. Had to be a disguised Mustang.

Why, it didn't plow through a crowd of people before the accident?

I think he is on his head, not "over his head".

I just don't see anybody rushing over to help them out. I trust that they got out?!

It's definitely water cooled now.

Mechanical failures are scary at speed. Several years back our chief driving instructor at a PCA DE had his Focus something or other out instead of his 930. His Ford was tricked out including R compound tires. Right front suspension failure on full throttle going up a hill with a slight left turn. Put it into the wall on the right totaling the car. Luckily he walked away.

This was posted a few years ago.
The analysis was that the throttle was stuck on.
You can see that he locked up the brakes trying to stop well before the wall.

Yes, it was here before.

And someone was awfully quick to jump on the driver error bandwagon.
