All the cellphone interface crap that's built into cars nowadays is not helping much either. Distractions are distractions.

If we agree that we have a real problem, and we see that there is a real solution, let's not worry about inconveniencing people to save the lives of many, because of a senseless act.

You can't completely legislate around stupid.

It is a tough nut. It is handy to be able to use a cell phone in a car, safe if it is a passenger doing it.

It really isn't a tough nut at all if we just decide that the end justifies the means. Although the technology exists, WE aren't there yet, because we don't want to be inconvenienced. I think that is a cop-out. If you truly want to make this problem go away, the answer is smacking us all in the face. Oh well, better to keep getting smacked in the face than to save many lives...

And then the stupid big screens in new cars, like in the Tesla.
You HAVE to look at it when changing settings. No more just reaching out, feeling the knob and changing the temperature while having the eyes on the street.

This is a big disadvantage and will cause much trouble!
