I hit the elevator button eleventy dozen times...

Didn't help this morning :)

How 'bout y'all?

1990C4S 12-23-2016 09:02 AM

I hit the requisite floor, then the door close. Once each. Even if people are headed towards it...

Tobra 12-23-2016 09:47 AM

Office is on the first floor.

JD159 12-23-2016 09:49 AM

I have no buttons inside my elevator.

Oh, you're the guy....

wildthing 12-23-2016 10:14 AM

I try not to but it's so satisfying.

Por_sha911 12-23-2016 10:35 AM

Maybe the button didn't work because your elevator doesn't go to the top floor? (Sorry, it was too good to pass up)

masraum 12-23-2016 10:39 AM

At home I hit the button once and wait. Only 5 floors, not that long a wait. At work (didn't have to go today) we have smart elevators. You punch in what floor you want to go to instead of an up/down button, and then a screen tells you which elevator to get on. Then you catch that elevator and ride. Not really any point in hitting the button multiple times with that setup.

But I was tryin' to get to the basement :)

And I have been told my bread ain't done...

This thread wasn't really about elevators...but I kept hittin' the button this morning anyways...anyone else?

One of the schools I was teaching at before my retirement had classrooms and offices on the second floor so I'd use the elevator which was flaky at best. Once it stopped between floors so I tried the "emergency call button: and to my surprise a nice lady answered! She said to wait a few seconds and I could hear some relays and stuff clicking and down I went. I was surprised there was someone there!

I would like to shoot whomever came up with that system. I HATE those things..

I'm missing out! I don't have an elevator.

wdfifteen 12-26-2016 11:08 AM

My elevator doesn't go all the way to the top.

yetibone 12-26-2016 11:17 AM

KC, was the elevator working last night?

strupgolf 12-26-2016 11:18 AM

I'm stuck in my elevator, please call the cops.

I dunno....didn't try to access PPOT :)

But I sure got bent the other morning...take a sip of coffee, hit the refresh button, over and over and over....ruined my day I tell ya!!!

Back in the 60's, I remember (as a kid) going to the Eaton store in Montréal and there was a guy operating the lift and calling the merchandise to be found on the floors...

Bill Douglas 12-26-2016 03:02 PM

I like to let a really bad fart go just before my floor. Special treat for the next person who gets in.

RKDinOKC 12-26-2016 03:17 PM

I hate getting stuck on escalators. You would think they could keep those things running.

Where I work the elevator gives most people access to one floor above ground level but if you have the key it can take you 8 stories down. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1482839959.jpg

Sorry the pic should be rotated 90 degrees clockwise.
Best

No elevators for home or work for me. The last elevator I was in on was in downtown OKC and it is an express from ground floor to 50th floor to the restaurant. My ears popped from the pressure change. Great view from up there.

Mark Henry 12-27-2016 06:22 AM

1-2 stories I take the stairs all the time, under 10 stories I take the stairs most of the time.
