We'll start the thread off with a little history.....

How many days until our first game of the season?

First game will feature California vs. Hawaii on August 26th (this Friday!) at 10pm at ANZ Stadium in Sydney, Australia....what a way to kick off the new season!!!

Can't get here quick enough! Sept. 3 UM vs. Hawaii...not sure how they ended up with this game on the schedule, but should be fun to watch!

We're playing Vanderbilt away Thurs. 9/1 at 8 on ESPN for our first game... then Miss. St. in Starkville on 9/10 at 7 on ESPN/ESPN2 for our second. Gonna be interesting to see what Coach Boom can do with the fellas starting out his first season here with two away games.

September 3rd at 2 pm PST, THE USC will most likely get royally whhhhhipped by bama in front of God and everybody. And they're gonna do it in the Arlington BIG BOY stadium.
Hopefully the coboys have used up all the loooser games to date at that stadium.

That will prolly mark the beginning of yet another painfully frustrating year of rebuilding for USC.

But I'll still watch.

If you put "THE" in bold, right before you begin whining that you're probably gonna get beat on national TV by the current championship team (that is from the SEC)...

...you might be overcompensating for something.

LSU and Clemson both have a similar thing going on about who has the REAL "Death Valley."

I like to watch Clemson.
Watched a last year's TCU replay the other day...the most freshman in the nation on the team. A good future for them, perhaps.

At least Notre Dame is staying out of the SEC at through the regular season. Personally, I'd like to see a repeat!

Ohio State should be tougher this year. They only play 2 high school games before getting serious. Oklahoma is game 3.

BGSU is no slouch high school team, they are usually in contention to win the MAC, and have given Ohio State a run for thier money in previous years. I'm cautiously optimistic about this year, but alot of Freshmen starters to get going.

Only in the SEC East does anyone think of South Carolina when they hear the letters USC. Even LSU fans - and I know waaaaaaaay too many, including my wife and daughter (and a son enrolled there now) - assume, when they hear USC mentioned, that the reference is to a school in Los Angeles.

Oh, and it's nice that the good folks in Columbia have some SEC West coattails to ride and to crow about.

I've lived in SC most of my life. I graduated from USC. While there, I wore t-shirts and windbreakers with USC on them... I put a USC decal in the rear window of my first car. Isn't that special? The USC on this side of the country was founded in 1801. Those losers out on the West coast didn't get cranked up until 1880... and LSU a few years before that in 1860. I don't care how many bowl games either one has played on New Year's Day, they're just playing catch up.
