Likely final season of Sherlock, thoughts

Sherlock with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. Fantastic show.

The past 3 Sundays have been the 3 episodes of the 4th and likely final season. What did you guys think?

We missed the beginning of "The Six Thatchers" (1st episode), but we'll go back and watch that one again. The part that we saw, meh, not enough Sherlock mystery, and too much of the Mary Watson stuff.

"The Lying Detective", episode 2, I thought was much better, more interesting and more like a "normal Sherlock mystery".

Tonight's "The Final Problem" still not quite as much a regular Sherlock, but better than the 1st episode.

I think my favorite of all of them is "A Scandal in Belgravia". I think that's the missus' favorite too.

All of the 1st season's episodes were great.

Season 2 was OK, but I was disappointed in "The Hounds of Baskerville".

Season 3 was pretty good too.

All in all, we loved the series. It's too bad they had to stretch it out so much, but the 2 main actors seem VERY busy so we're probably lucky to have gotten what there is.

Loved the third episode. I think the writing has taken on a new level of "omg", and the acting is just superb. And when did we start hating Mycroft? I missed tonight's episode so I will have to watch it tomorrow.

Which third episode? Season 1?

Last night was the third episode of the current season.

I liked last weeks episode with the rich guy, and last night was, I thought, a good final episode.

^ I meant the third and final episode of this season.

I'm going to need to join a support group for a bit after the final episode. I'll have to draw upon the strength that I used when Deadwood got cancelled.

They can't end it like that. No way they can end it like that. They need another season, right?

Yeah, they've been so far apart, maybe you can start watching from the beginning again.
