I wonder if they will go after "Curb your Enthusiasm" as well, thats kind of a follow on from Seinfeld

Jason Alexander is the real star in my opinion. Not only is he George Costanza, but he was the voice of Duckman. That is one funny dude.

He can sing and dance too, just sayin'

Here I thought I was the only one liked "Duckman"

I watched the show a few times, but lost interest.
Never could relate.

1). Tall guy slides in like the Fonzi. "AYYY".
A bit psycho, and gets in trouble.
The comedian spouted off racist comments towards black people once but it was Un-noticed by media.

2). Loser short unemployed fat guy, somehow surviving in expensive NYC, who also gets in trouble.

3). The fickle random egocentric dysfunctional chick.
Same as the other two above.

(these losers are not somehow on welfare in expensive NYC, where a basic closet apt costs over $2K per month to start)

4). Then there is the cool laid back guy. Star of the show. The normal guy.
He is same as the above.

I can not relate.

I cant relate either, and my mother family is from NYC.

Ive never found Seinfeld funny.

Ive never found Seinfeld funny.

It has nothing to do with just being from NYC
It's about everyday life...and finding the humour in it.
Watch a few episodes and you will get hooked.

I have friends that were addicted to the show so I tried but it didn't work for me.

Never watched 'Friends' either.

I love his standup... just don't get the show... but he obviously made big coin off the show so it really doesn't matter what I think now does it :D

Kind of like complaining about Tiger Woods.

What seperates the likes of Seinfeld, All In The Family & say, Mash, is the smart writing & obviously talented actors & timing.
I've looked at some of the current comedies on the majors and there is no humor . Silly dialogue & laugh tracks just don't make it.

Seinfeld was awesome. I haven't seen an episode in many years and still think about some of the quotes almost daily.

rfuerst911sc 01-20-2017 02:55 PM

He took........ it out :D

stevej37 01-20-2017 03:16 PM

Larry David prob deserves about half of the Netflix deal money.
Why can't they make sitcoms like that anymore?
Some are ok...but nowhere near Seinfeld

rfuerst911sc 01-20-2017 03:29 PM

I'm watching it right now on Sling........still makes me chuckle the one liners and inuendos are truly classic .

masraum 01-20-2017 05:29 PM

I watched one episode of Comedians in Cars. I think it was an episode with Gary Shandling shortly before he died. I was bored. I think it would have been more my thing if it had been "Two comedians riding around in COOL CARS"

Tobra 01-21-2017 05:38 AM

Watch the one with Carl and Mel, he drives a green RSR over and they sit down in Carl Reiner's place, as I recall. Looked and could not find it, damn you internet!

epbrown 01-21-2017 07:31 AM

The Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks ep is a good one, and him and Sarah Jessica Parker are fun, in part because he drives a classic car he hates, her old 70s station wagon. Oh, and he and Julia Louis-Dreyfus in the Aston Martin!
