Forgot one, for the "other" mod.
![]() I'm betting it's like one of shaun's social experiments. Too many smart guys involved not to be over-analyzing something. Test 1) Moderators have medium level of interaction, equals some resentment and constant mild hassle but mostly works. Workload medium, benefit medium. Test 2) Moderators have strong and heavy interaction: lots of push-back and resentment, trouble-makers stir the pot. Workload very high, benefit low. Test 3) Moderators have little to no interaction: Trouble-makers get bored, no obvious authority figure to hassle, board eventually regulates and moderates itself.
