"I can send rounds through the same hole all day with that thing, from across the yard."

Sounds like you have the primary accuracy strategy down pat...which is to let it surprise you (no flinching).

^ I think of it as getting a sense of the hole. You can't really see it from that distance. Focus with the front of your brain, relax, time your breathing because the front sight is all over the place, and ......bang. You can shoot the eyesocket out of a squirrel from 80 feet or more that way. I shoot the circle out of a Pepsi can at the back of the garden. I have no idea how far that is, but it's pretty far.

My g/f has my old S&W police air weight .38, 4" next to her bed...I thought that the little Beretta would be good for her purse...making some noise in the event...hopefully to scare off someone.
I'd not suggest a .22 for personal safety, however, as someone said. When I don't carry my FI .380 I carry this S&W M638 for a bit more "nudge"...both fit nicely into the same holster.

omg. Just looked into that. Holy hell.

Don Ro, that is a super nice setup. Very stylish, and very useable.

i remember reading an article in OUTDOOR LIFE when i was a kid. it was a comparison article about yellowjacket vs. Stingers vs MINIMAG..

i couldnt for the life of me remember MINIMAGS..thanks.

FWIW CCI SV is better ammo (imho). Standard velocity, so if you ever get the freedom to use a can you can :) Probably more accurate than the mini-mags at all distances, especially at longer ranges. Took a brand new 10/22 out of the box today. Top is CCI SV, bottom is Mini-Mags.
