Would be great if everyone put an explanation of how your pic relates to the last. Some of the associations are obvious, but many aren't.

I went back and edited my posts so you can review if you like.

Apparently, the post above, had a photo of empty space

So these are pictures of space

Orion nebula (Messier object #42) on the knife hanging from Orion's belt.


conjunction of Pleiades and the moon, 2 shots merged to get both the stars and the moon correctly exposed.

I know that Venus has phases like the moon because it's between the Sun and Earth. An occultation of venus by a new moon or crescent moon would be pretty cool.

I was looking at Venus with my binocs last night and saw that it was a crescent. I showed my wife and she didn't realize that it had phases.
