I know that Venus has phases like the moon because it's between the Sun and Earth. An occultation of venus by a new moon or crescent moon would be pretty cool.

I was looking at Venus with my binocs last night and saw that it was a crescent. I showed my wife and she didn't realize that it had phases.


This was the super duper moon just rising over the Houston skyline from Nov 2016.
