They play to an audience, and that audience is not something a lot of us are a part of.

Such is stagecraft.

I only find "put down" comedy funny when they can put down everything universally; which SNL does not.

They are doing amazing work. They have definite peaks and valleys over the years and happen to crushing it right now. Nothing hateful about it. The comedy is writing itself and they are responding.

That was my goal when I was 23...er, 1/2 century ago. These days, I just enjoy the view..

uhh...yeah, they did. The last guy took it as something that went with the job and arguably with aplomb.

Everybody in the public eye is fair game for SNL. Some require embelishment. Some don't.

I DVR every episode and then skim through it and catch the 2-3 skits that are good and the news. There is some great stuff there, IMO. The Aziz Ansari episode had some good stuff- check the Beat the Bookworm, Attorney Ad, and the Bedroom skit (the best one).
