I met Tom Petty at a SIGGRAPH conference many years ago. As much as I enjoyed talking to him I really liked the awesome blond that was with him. There was a brief time when a lot of Artists of different flavors were getting into the graphics geek thing.

I've mentioned this before but Justin Bieber's dad lived a couple streets away from my fire station. Before Justin Bieber was famous he brought his siblings by the fire hall wanting a tour for them. I had to explain that they needed a adult to be with them (department policy) or no tour. While not happy about it he understood. He was a very polite, well mannered young man.
