***My Loose Connection with Justin Bieber***

Loose connection, tighter than "very, very loose"

Last Labor Day Weekend. Sunday. Town of Roslyn, WA (Next to the Lake, Lake Cle Elum).....Parade and Farmers market in Roslyn that day.....Heading out of town in my 73.5 Targa when friends say meet them at the "BRICK" for dinner...Famous from the "Northern Exposure" series WE filmed.

Much drama at the Brick and I ask a waitress about the delay of my beer....She sez: "I'm not supposed to say anything, but Justin Bieber is upstairs.....by the pool tables.

After awhile, I need to go pee and decide to have a look. I'm at the urinal next to this younger guy. He kinda has a big dick. I say: "Seems like a lot of drama up here?". He sez: "Yeah, seems like it"....I say: "I hear there is some famous person here"...He sez: "I heard something"....I say: "Some Justin guy".....He sez: "That's what I heard"......He leaves....

I walk out behind him. He and his buddies take my phone and get pictures of him/I....He is there visiting his MegaChurch buddy that has a huge home in a local resort (Suncadia).........

Tell us of your Loose Connection stories.........

Almost brothers I would say.

Well... My story...

I was in a cafe and Sigourney Weaver was there with a group of people including Giovanni Ribisi. She spent a LOT of time looking at me - yes, true story. I was expecting a man in a suit to come along with an note and say "Ms Weaver would like to see you in her hotel room eight oclock tonight. Don't be late." But nothing happened of course. Why she was looking at me I don't know cause I'm king of weird looking; mind you, so is Giovanni Ribisi.

I'm pretty sure that very important people come to this forum just to read my comments. I wouldn't exclude past or present POTUSs from that list, BTW. It's like we are sharing a meal or something. Whenever I use an emoticon, it is really a private communication between us, a lot like how Carol Burnett would pull on her ear to signal her Grandmother.

Now you know.

In downtown Atlanta about 2 years ago - I saw Ryan Stiles and Colin Mochrie literally running out the side door of a downtown hotel (right in front of me on the sidewalk) to cross the street and head to who knows where. Seemed obvious they didn't want to get stopped and bothered - so I didn't.

I step out the shower at Daytona one year and brian redman steps out of the shower next to me.
I grabbed my clothes and got out.
I did NOT ask for an autograph as I was afraid of what he might have signed it with, not an autograph fan anyway,

(I snuck into the pit showers)

I was once at a Chick Fil A in the mall near USF with Flavor Flav. He also showed up at a dance club once when I was there.

On 2 separate occasions two different members (Frank Beard once, and one of the other two on a separate occasion) of ZZ Top came into the bar where I was working in Houston, on of them was driving an older (probably 80s?) SL500, lowered and running wire wheels.

My ex and I were at the Mission Inn in Riverside Ca for a New Years thing years ago, 79-80? and we shared a table with an older couple, they celebrating their 50th and him looking vaguely familiar. He was impeccably dressed as was she. Then my wife said check out his tie. It had a bunch of cartoon characters on it and we asked him about. He pulled out a pad and wrote some things on it and he then handed it to me. The piece had a pic of him sitting in an office chair and all of his cartoon characters were sitting all around him. It was Mel Blanc, and yes we asked him to give us a few voices. We were all liquored up and we laughed all night long.

I guess that explains why your "connection" is a little loose now...

In the lounge at the Four Seasons in Vancouver a few years ago. After a client meeting I was finishing my drink and noticed James Cameron sitting at the table next to me. He looked to be waiting for someone so I asked him what it was like to explore the Marianas Trench. He looked surprised that I'd asked. He said it took about 2.5 hours to get down and he had 3 hours at the bottom. Sounded like the planning to get there was epic. He said most people ask him about "Titanic" and I think he appreciated someone asking him about the expedition. Amazing journey. 35,000 down.

Many moons ago when I was in the Navy, I met the guy that was operating DSV Alvin when Dr Ballard first saw the Titanic on the ocean floor. Somewhere in the basement I got a picture of the moment. Apparently Dr Ballard was a real SOB...

Was the fellow who piloted the submersible for Ballard a retired A4 driver who went to work for Woods Hole?
