We've got 6-7 inches on the ground now. Those tiny flakes coming down hard and fast. So far the wind isn't bad. But the pellets are stacked and the genie is prepped.

I've seen this calc before and find it amazing. Very wet snow makes it very apparent. Right now , fortunately we are getting a very cold fluffy snow. Crap for snowmen but great for sliding!

We live east of Syracuse in Madison county. Expecting 30+inches of snow today. Coming down pretty good at noon today. I'm in the barn building a garage/work area for the Porsche. Good day for that...

every time we get 1/10th of an inch of rain they interrupt this program for a special broadcast.

Besides, did you ever try to dig your car out from under a 6 foot rain drift?

fortunately the storm moved out of here more quickly than expected. It seems to be tapering off now and looks like we maxed out at 18-20"

I am flying into LaGuardia tomorrow morning. How does it look like on the ground now? Are they likely to have things cleaned up by then?

airlines are saying ok for tomorrow but you know the drill , call ahead.
