Anything happening in Santa Monica this weekend?

Running out with the Tweeze and the kids for a last minute thing in Santa Monica. I will have a few hours to kill by myself Saturday and Sunday morning. Any suggestions? Thinking maybe I'll run over to the Petersen?

I would have tried to have lunch with some of you guys but it was pretty last minute, didn't have time to plan much.

I can meet you in Malibu in the morning if you want to take the Turbo for a spin through the canyons. You drive (I can't risk another ticket for three months when the traffic school option opens back up). Maybe grab a late breakfast at the Rock Store or Old Place. I need to be home by 11:30 for a grampa babysitting gig.

Crap Craig, not sure I can make that work. We got into town at almost 3 last night and the kids are still sleeping probably will be after lunch before I get them dropped off and I'm free.

Hah. Well that might work better. My brain is mush, up late and haven't had my coffee. Let me get an idea of the schedule tomorrow and then I'll text you.

Super Car Sunday is cool if you've never been. There will be 360 and 430 Ferrari's in every color combination available, even more if you count the vinyl wraps. Most have been driven no further than from their garage in Calabasas to the SCS parking lot and back. Seriously. Cool to see it all though.

There is a big mall at the corner of Topanga and Oxnard. Take 101, exit NORTH on Topanga Cyn Rd. Pass the park on the right, and then either turn right on Oxnard, or stay on Topanga and turn into mall parking lot on right. Can't miss it. Goes from about 8-10.

Don't know if I would necessarily drive 60 miles, but there are anywhere from 50-300 cars there of all sorts. American iron, Japanese, European, rat rods, British, and of course late-model exotics (McLaren, F-car, Lambo, etc). Last Sunday of the month is the big gathering with several hundred cars, but every Sunday has interesting stuff to see.

I'll be there tomorrow in the 930 with a bunch of kids in tow.
