It was that badly rusted and on the road. The Tards did a favor to the owner.

According to the article that had the video attached, it was a 2016, so I doubt serious rust was an issue.

Nope. It may have happened in 2016, but that's a YJ Jeep 86-95 in North America.

Sorta like when your boot is stuck in the mud and when you go to lift your foot the boots stays there.

i ALWAYS force the owner of the stuck vehicle to hook up to his own rig..always.

and why the eff were they pulling sideways? to rotate the stuck wheels out? that was the stupid part. bare minimum..pull in the direction the tires can roll.

On the upside, they can start the "frame-off" restoration more quickly now!

What did they figure that "success" would look like in that scenario?

It looks like the jeep didn't just get stuck there. It looks to me like it got stuck in running water, and sat there as the water receded and thoroughly buried the bottom half of the jeep. It the jeep had just rolled into the mud, wouldn't there have been ruts, tracks and probably mud flung everywhere from spinning tires?

My guess is that the guy got stuck and they left the jeep there for a while, and then tried to get it out after the mud and silt had settled around the suspension, running gear, tires, etc... Or maybe not, I don't have a lot of experience driving around in that sort of stuff.

So, this is what they mean by "body on frame"?

Not any more.
