When (auto) dealers attack
The thread on the Ford GT reminded me this article:
The New High-Performance Fords Could Fail the Same Way the Pontiac GTO Did Makes me sad because I was eyeballing a Focus RS for my late life crisis car (by then I will be able to pick up a used one anyway.) Oh, and there is this: 550-HP Mustang EcoBoost – Ford Mustang Turbo Kit

Yep. I wanted to buy a GT 350. I would have paid sticker. Couldn't find one for sticker.

Last time I was there, an unsold 350GT asking $10K above sticker was sitting on the local dealership floor. I offered sticker, was told "lots of people would pay that."
Fine by me...my old, obsolete, and slow '09 Bullitt Mustang gets me where I want to go and with just over 25,000 on it's odo, should continue to do so for quite some time. Well written piece...agree completely.
