I have the same but later version sitting on top of the compatible roll-away. Going on 35 years of faithful but overloaded service. I recently bought a HF twin to reduce it's weight.

A label maker tells me where everything so as to not continuing to open the wrong drawers looking for my required widget....

I wouldn't call your ES find valuable as an antique but a good score none the less....

I went to my CL seller this morning and picked up my little tool box and tools.

Asking price was $20 but I bought a hedge clipper from him for asking price ($150) so he threw the tool box and tools in as part of the deal.

Damn - for a second there it felt like a Geraldo story...

The real story is the box was full of Rolex watches, jewelry, old coins, and a mint condition 1911 but he doesn't want to publicly admit it since the previous owner will want that stuff back.

Here are the pics of the tools. All have -v- or -vv-. A little googling says that is made prior to 1986. But otherwise I have no further info.

The whole lot with tool box was $170.00

So they were inside?

Ayles 04-23-2017 12:38 PM

No, they were at the same sale though.

All that for $170? One hell of a great buy! May it all serve you well for many years. BTW, the standard pliers like those in your pic? Better feel in the hand than a premium brand as far as I'm concerned. I grab mine over other choices I have.

I think that is the 3/8 ratchet I lost. Fine action and pretty strong, bet I left it on a car. Wish I still had it.

One of the smaller ratchets has a ball bearing of some sort on the top. Never seen one like that before.

That enables you to place a few drops of oil within the mechanism. Press down on the spring loaded bearing and let a few drops seep in.
